Against All Odds Kim Kline – An Empowering Journey of Talent and Desire
I don’t feel beautiful I don’t feel good inside My heart is aching And I’ve lost my pride So, please don’t break my heart Cause you’re tearing me apart I’m crying, I’m dying On the inside I’m falling, I’m drowning On the inside I’m lying, denying On the inside On the inside
In simply reading the above passage one might come to the conclusion that the writer is of a frail, weathered heart and soul; although, in hearing Kim Kline belt these lyrics from her single "Inside" with such passion and conviction any listener knows that this is not the case. Kim Kline is not your ordinary singer-song writer. Her radio-friendly rock songs are much more than just that; they are bodies of poetry, which pour straight from her soul depicting tales of life, love and suffering. Her listeners are greeted by a warm, sultry voice that embraces the heart and creates a world in which one becomes entangled. A small town country girl, Kim Kline, at an early age, discovered her talent for writing and her amazingly powerful voice for which she is known for today. Kline had fallen in love with song; with exposing her soul to the world in verse; and with the dream of one day creating such legendary tracks as those written by her mentors, such as Tina Turner and Stevie Nicks. Even though she had discovered her gifts so early in life, the journey which lay ahead of her seemed almost impossible.
As Kim Kline grew she knew that in order to realize her childhood dreams that she would have to spread her wings and fly from the safety of all that she had ever known. As a youth, she ventured out of her small, rural town to Houston and Dallas where she began her formal training as a singer. Kline then began studying under Ron Anderson, best known for his work with the Rolling Stones, No Doubt and Janet Jackson. It was now time for Kim Kline to take her next step towards ‘the light at the end of the tunnel.’ She uplifted her life and moved out to Los Angeles; and always looking to hone her talents, Kim started working with renowned vocal technique and performance coach Steven Memel who has trained such artists as Adam Levine and members of Maroon 5, Taryn Manning of Boomkat, Brittany Murphy and Big City Rock.
Fine tuning her music and voice, Kim began to accumulate an abundance of songs, which sparked the interest of the acclaimed music entertainment law firm Felcher & Freifeld, LLP (whose clients have included Pink, Rhianna, and The Fugees) The same day she met with Scott Felcher, she was signed immediately. As is usually the case, talent gravitated to talent, as Kim Kline found herself working with a variety of talented musicians and producers. It had come time for the ‘little girl from Texas’ to stand up as the rising star, which she has grown to become. Kline has recently completed recording her debut release, which has already been hailed by those that have heard it as a milestone record that truly stakes her claim within the music community. It appears as though that the young girl that had once dreamt of writing and recording songs that poured from her soul and which would inspire generations to come has realized that dream. And as Kim Kline is just now taking on the musical world with full force it is very apparent that she shall be a dominant female voice in the years to come. |
