Etc.: ************Please be aware that there is no payment for publication in The Square Table. It's purely for the love of it. The Square Table is a SERVICE to writers and artists. I, Dina Di Maio, personally pay out of my own pocket to publish this site, and I do not get any money from the publication of this site. Therefore, I am looking to publish people who share my vision of a haven for writers and creative people to get their work out there. IF YOU DO NOT SHARE MY VISION, DO NOT SEND YOUR WORK TO ME. The Square Table and I have the highest ethics and professionalism, and we only want to work with people who do as well. ************ From now on, the editor will only respond to work that has been accepted. If you do not get an acceptance email, your work has not been accepted. Previously published work is OK as long as the author owns copyright. In addition, we publish work published elsewhere as long as doing so does not violate any agreement author has with another party. Assuming they own it, authors, photographers and artists retain copyright to their work. Authors grant The Square Table non-exclusive first rights to publish the work and archival rights. Photographers and artists give The Square Table license to use their photographic and art images. All questions and comments should be directed to editor at thesquaretable dot com. Thank you for your support. About The Square Table The Square Table is more than an online literary magazine. It is a general interest magazine featuring food and travel essays, personal essays, book and movie reviews, interviews, art and photography and fiction. The Square Table was created by Dina Di Maio, who holds a master's in writing from NYU, a JD from Barry University School of Law, and has written and/or edited for Glamour, Family Circle, Time Out New York, the American Bar Association, Vault and more. There is no money involved in the making of The Square Table. The editor, writers and artists create purely for the love of it. Dina is a writer by trade though she did design this site. Be kind when commenting on it :) as she knows she's not a graphic designer. Because there are no funds involved in The Square Table, all work is volunteer. The Square Table has yet to find a volunteer to help with design. As it is, the thoughts on design are simplicity and readability. Dina hopes it achieves this end and appreciates your feedback. Disclaimer: The ideas expressed in works published in The Square Table do not necessarily represent The Square Table. |
