An Excerpt from a Letter Written to My Sixth-Grade History Teacher

By D. Douglas Goodman

"As I flipped through the stiff pages of Great Land Battles of World War II, I realized the only thing I knew for certain about World War II was that sailors could have sex with any woman they desired: and that fact I learned from my grandfather, who was forever envious of sailors."

D. Douglas Goodman is a young writer searching for inspiration in New York City.  He is currently at work on his Master's thesis, a collection of short stories.  He hopes, one day, to become a member of the Justice League.
